J&L did a great job on our new fence! They demolished our old fence that was falling down and rotting, removed it, and installed a great new 6 foot fence. They had good suggestions to work through difficult existing conditions with trees and large bushes nearby. The team was very communicative which we appreciated very much. They were friendly to and mindful of the neighbors during the process. They even went above an beyond clearing plants and vines that had grown up and around the existing fence. The price was very reasonable and includes a warranty. They were neat and fast as well. And, when ut was completed, they told us how to care for it and extend its life. 5/5 experience!

Seen some good google reviews on this company as well as signs on some fences around the city that I assume the work was completed by them and decided to go with this company but did not see the most recent online reviews. From initial contact with sales rep everything sounded great and very courteous, addressed what we wanted done. Advised that everything would be completed prior to demo of our old deck and fence. Another rep came out to see what exactly we wanted done in order to submit for the city permit to start project. I was advised that I would be contacted when work would begin. Never received that notice and one day some guys came out to let us know that they would start demoing old fence and deck. That was fine. However, during demo, the workers had cut our internet line that runs on the side of the house. O.k accidents happen, I get that. Reached out to Verizon and they were able to send a tech out. Upon further review, the tech had seen that when the workers were digging some new fence post holes, they had actually cut into the Verizon line in the ground. No one from the city came out to mark the ground where lines were ran as advised from initial conversation. Called J&L and informed them of the issue. Multiple people from start, middle and finish had advised this project will take only 3-4 days to a week to complete everything. I understand it rained but it went into about a 3-week project with subpar results. There were only 2 workers on site regularly and only one spoke little very little English. No oversite or supervision. I was told that we could let them know how we wanted the deck and fence built but no one had a plan or measurements on what we wanted done which was confusing for the workers and us because this was something that was discussed during the planning process. When they were cutting and leveling, everything was off, and nail job was sloppy. I told them to stop because I assumed deck screws were to be used and they said, "cost more money". From the very beginning I was told "we use the best quality wood and material, always delivering a great product”. As they were cutting the pickets for the deck, I told the worker 45 degree on them and from there, he didn't even measure and just started eyeballing it, so all the pickets were completely off. I called management, advised them and sent pictures of unleveled and uneven deck rail post and the messed-up pickets. I shouldn't have to be out there to ensure things were done correctly. Luckily management came out, took a look and told them to stop. They then tore down the half*** work and redid everything with the foreman on site. Everything was completed and asked if I was satisfied with the job. I said yes, but honestly my wife and I were done dealing with everything. I could touch up some things and have been trying to fix issues I started noticing. Different color deck screws used, and a multitude of screws used to secure the railing to deck post that just looks sloppy and lazy. Additionally, I started seeing deck screws and nails that were broken that could and would be a hazard, especially for our son. So, I have been pulling, cutting and filing them down for preventative measure. I will gladly admit that I do not do fence or deck work, but you can clearly tell when there is quality craftsmanship in something and the completed work, there is not. I’m not sure if they subcontract or what?? The most helpful person was the foreman when he was on site and tried to fix/address issues that I saw at the time. For that, I thank him. I just hope that everything was done to code because we did not see a single inspector come out during this process. Yard was cleaned up the best they could. However, I also had to reach out to them to address my neighbor's backyard where the grounds were left in a complete mess. I simply cannot recommend this company and advise folks to look elsewhere for your home projects. See photos of during construction and after for issues noticed. *UPDATE* Called and no answer, straight to voicemail, no call backs.

High Quality, Great Value, Job Well Done! Thank you David and your team ! I had a new vinyl double gate and yard fence done. David was easy to work with and addressed all the issue we had. He immediately took care of any problems. I have had only excellent results with this company! Professional, timely and durable product! Truly a company with high integrity which is a rarity these days. I highly recommend them for any fencing.

Horrible experience dealing with this company. They sub contract to just about anybody they can get to work. The craftsmanship is horrendous , the owner thinks the work they complete is acceptable . You can see in the photos the main reason the gate that was installed is failing on the first day it was conlleted is because none of the cuts are square and flush , many not even touching the connection point , cross supports done completely wrong , many nails did not even go where they were meant to. They made a 1 foot gap between the fence line that was supposed to be where they connected too . A gap a person can fit through ( check pictures) . They installed a crooked fence with a gap on my neighbors fence , big enough that her animals can escape through. I could add another 20 mistakes but you get the picture. I understand things happen when you subcontract, but the owner ( Jacob ) refused to fix anything , said i was playing games . I have all communications between me and J and L . Lesson learned , never go with the lowest bid . Avoid this company at all costs .

We recently built a new home and were looking for a contractor to install an unusual and slightly complicated fence when a client of my wife’s recommended J & L Home Renovations. They had recently completed a few projects for her, and she was thoroughly pleased and spoke highly of them. I called Jeff and upon meeting, I was impressed at how he presented himself. Being a contractor myself, I normally do my own projects as I am somewhat of a perfectionist, as my wife says. After meeting with Jeff, Jacob contacted me, the project manager and he informed exactly when the materials would be delivered, and the crew would be onsite. Within one week a crew was here and began work on the fence. The crew, which consisted of Travis, Matt, and Thomas, worked their tails off. Along the way there was one or two small items that I was not happy with, but Jacob and Travis collaborated with us and made the changes and did so at no cost. There were several instances where Travis and his crew would work until dark. The result is not just a fence we are beyond excited about, but also a work of art to look at. We have a spring project or two we are planning on and will be calling Jeff and the team at J & L to help us. We would highly recommend J & L for any home projects you have upcoming.
