What a journey. When our unit stopped working our house got extremely hot. We ended up in a hotel on 3 separate occasions. But today, Josh and Stephen saved the day. They arrived at around 9am, made assessments, did some troubleshooting, made some determinations and was able to give us bad news and good news. The bad news was that our heat pump was totally damaged which prevented our cooling system from working. But the good news was that they were going to pick up a brand new heat pump, come back and install it. Did I mention that it was around 4pm when they told us this? They had already been here 7 hours🫣. They kept their word and came back with a brand new heat pump, installed it, ran a diagnostic, waited for positive results and gave us the great news 2.5 hours later that the system was working perfectly. Regardless of having a long work day, these two gentlemen were professional, kind, friendly, personable, informative, respectful and patient. In my book, these two men were top tier! We thank you so much for restoring our AC and for the excellent customer service you provided.

1 Hr HVAC did not schedule my spring check up until I called about their monthly charge for such service. They also didn’t call me 20 minutes before the technician arrived as I requested. So they get 3 out of 5 stars for scheduling and admin support. But I want to give 5 out of 5 stars (or even more if possible) for the service that their HVAC technician Jay Len-Ivey provided. Ivey was very polite and personable. He seemed thorough in his work, accommodated small adjustments needed that prevented bigger issues in the future like:putting screws to the furnace door so it isn’t loose and expose furnace flames next to the water heater and he put tape around an open cable in the outside unit so water won’t leak in. Ivey also was thorough in explaining all the items on his checklist He ensured he cleaned up behind him. He was very professional and seemed very knowledgeable.

I wanted to leave a review for John because his customer service has been absolutely outstanding. My AC unit is currently experiencing some issues, and while we are currently waiting for a couple of parts to be shipped and installed to completely wrap up the repair, John has already made this a seamless experience. From the moment he arrived, he was incredibly professional, courteous, and respectful. What I appreciated most was his patience with all of my questions. I had a ton of concerns about what was wrong with the system, and John took the time to explain the entire situation to me clearly, breaking down exactly what the broken parts do and why they need to be replaced. It is rare to find a technician who takes the time to educate the customer rather than rushing to the next job. He has been incredibly helpful so far, and based on this initial visit, I have total confidence in his work! Avery Blondell who came out to install the parts that I needed did a wonderful job also and in the same respect was very courteous, respectful and had patience with all of my questions!!! Both of these young men were wonderful!!!

Update 2/7/2026: To clarify and update this situation: One Hour Heating & Air sent a technician to our home today, and their technician confirmed that a 60-amp disconnect was installed on 40-amp gauge wiring. This confirms what the licensed electrician previously reported—that the system was improperly installed from the beginning. This is not a communication issue, a maintenance issue, or a matter of speculation. It is a verified installation error that created a serious fire hazard and directly caused the system failure. Given this confirmation, We expect One Hour Heating & Air to fully address and remediate this installation error and to stand behind their work, especially when safety is involved. In February 2023, One Hour Heating & Air installed a new HVAC system in our home. In February 2026, the system abruptly failed after a loud noise came from our attic. Our home warranty company sent a technician to inspect the issue and determined that the HVAC disconnect had overheated and that a licensed electrician was required. A licensed electrician subsequently inspected the system and confirmed that the wiring installed for the HVAC unit was of an incorrect gauge and not sufficient to safely support the system. This caused the disconnect to overheat and created a serious fire hazard. This issue is the direct result of improper installation at the time the HVAC system was installed by One Hour Heating & Air. It is not a maintenance issue, normal wear, or customer-caused damage. The electrician explicitly stated that the wiring should have been correctly sized at installation to meet the electrical load requirements of the unit. When I contacted your company, I was informed that we would be required to pay additional fees for One Hour Heating & Air to inspect or correct this issue. This is unacceptable. Charging a customer to investigate and fix your own installation error—particularly one that posed a serious fire risk—is not consistent with standing behind your work. This situation could have resulted in a house fire. We have a one-year-old, three-year-old, and five-year-old living in this home. The safety implications of this mistake are extremely serious.

Your review is already strong, but here’s a polished version that improves the flow and grammar while keeping your experience front and center: I scheduled an HVAC tune-up with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning months in advance, only for the technician to arrive and tell me they couldn’t service my system because it uses R-22 refrigerant, which he claimed was “illegal.” He made it sound like my system was on the verge of failing within days. Instead of servicing the unit, he recommended that a sales representative come out. Interestingly, they had no problem scheduling the sales appointment for 9:00 AM the very next day. The salesperson arrived as scheduled and spent over an hour giving a lengthy presentation. At the end, he said he would email me a quote for a replacement system. More than a month later, my air conditioner is still running perfectly and blowing cold air, but I have yet to receive any quote. The whole experience felt like a sales pitch disguised as a service call. It was a complete waste of my time and showed a lack of professionalism that I would not expect from a company with such a strong reputation. One note: R-22 refrigerant is not illegal to own or operate in an existing system. Production and import of new R-22 have been phased out in the U.S., making it more expensive and harder to obtain, but homeowners can still legally use systems that contain it.
