Excellent service all around. I called after hours to schedule service for a broken AC. I had initially called a few other companies but was sent to an answering service. Someone actually with the company answered when i called Russell's. Quick and easy process to set up the appointment. The technician was on time - early actually, which was great because it was a hot day. He was quick and professional, and had the issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. Again, great service. Highly recommend them.
Russell’s American Mechanical is an amazing company that provides excellent electrical, plumbing and HVACH services. Today I had Bude and Jacarri do some electrical work in my house. They did and outstanding work. What I loved about them is that they are thorough. They make sure that everything works before they leave your house. They also take the time to explain to you what is wrong and how they will solve your problems. I’ve had a few technicians come to my house. I am always happy with their service but these two guys( Bude and Jaccari) have been the best electricians we’ve ever had at our place. Thank you Russell’s American Mechanical.
I rarely leave detailed reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that others should know what happened. My experience with Russell's American Mechanical involved repeated scheduling failures, pricing changes and a major diagnostic error. In September 2025, I paid for a dehumidifier installation estimate and purchased their membership, which was represented as providing discounted services and additional benefits. The day before the scheduled installation, the company refused to honor the accepted estimate, issued a new quote nearly double the original price, and only refunded the installation cost while keeping the membership fee. Later, I scheduled a plumbing service visit on May 27, 2026, to evaluate water damage and a suspected leak using the membership. That appointment was rescheduled multiple times by the company, and they ultimately failed to arrive within the confirmed service windows. When a technician (Philip) finally arrived on May 29, he stated there was "100% no leak in the plumbing" after only a brief look, and without any meaningful inspection or testing. Later, that same day, a licensed plumber from a different company inspected the exact same issue and confirmed there was in fact, an active plumbing leak. In short: the service was inconsistent, the scheduling unreliable, and the diagnostic conclusion was incorrect and contradicted by a second licensed professional the same day. For contrast, I highly recommend The Plumber RVA for punctual appointments without rescheduling, clear and straightforward estimates, and thorough inspections with fair pricing.
The technician was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions and he patiently answered them. He was very professional and I would be glad to have him service my generator. Also thorough with his examination. Thank you and great work.
Eddie, arrived promptly, as scheduled. He is very friendly knowledgeable, and efficient. he crawled under our house to evaluate old wiring condition inspected our outlets and switches, and provided us with a repair estimate within our expectations. We immediately agreed and hope to start repairs this coming week.
