We had water damage to our floor from a leaky fitting on our dishwasher. We didn't know how long it had been leaking. Water was squishing up through the laminate floor about 15 feet from the dishwasher and we didn't know why. We called on January 29 after a really cold snap. They came right away and identified the source. They removed the damaged floor and dried out our kitchen and living room. They got approval from our insurance company for a floor replacement. We decided, at our expense, to also have them replace our carpeted stairs with hard wood to match the new floor. There are separate crews for mitigation and restoration. Both were professional and reliable. This ended up being a big project which required additional floor leveling and replacement of insulation under the house. All of the floor had to be removed which required the kitchen countertops to be removed and re-installed along with most of the cabinets. The drying process can take a while and the fans are noisy. They won't repair the damage until it is completely dry, which makes total sense. We couldn't be happier with the result. The floor looks fantastic and the stairs are crisp and modern and meet current code. United Restoration treated us well during the mitigation and restoration. Just plan for it to take longer than you think because there are so many moving parts with demolition, plumbers, painters, etc. We recommend United Restoration wholeheartedly.

I just want to thank United Restoration for the amazing repairs they completed on my home after significant water damage. The Project Manager Coy was extremely professional, approachable, attentive and passionate about his job. Hands down the best in Hampton Roads! His communication throughout this process was outstanding and it gave my family and I the comfort and confidence that this project would be a success. The entire staff was awesome and left a lasting positive impression. We would not hesitate to call on United Restoration for any future repairs. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of restoration services. Our house is a home again! Job well done!

I would like to thank United Restorations and Mr. Rance Ruiz for the amazing job he and his team did on fixing my house. This is not the first time I have had to call Rance for help on repairs to my home. I sustained significant water damage over a year ago that affected multiple rooms. Since the damage was so extensive I decided to renovation along with repairs. My house decided to have many hidden problems that Rance and his team had to work through and overcome. The worst was discovering that the builder of the house had put in undersized support beams that caused the sinking of the floor for half my kitchen after the new floor, cabinets, and countertops had been installed. This added to the issue of the tile that we had been gotten from Florida Tile had been faulty/warped. This meant that everything had to be removed to have the crawl repaired/supported appropriately for the new kitchen layout and a new floor to be put down. The new cabinets and countertops removed and the new floor removed. Florida Tile was wonderful in replacing the tile for free since the tile itself was faulty too. United Restoration also didn't charge full price for the repairs on this issue, which I am extremely grateful for. Also while dealing with the repairs from the water damage Rance was willing to help update some of my bathrooms to help make it easier for certain members of my family. He also took on another project of separate water damage to the entryway of my home. While I hope my house will have no issues in the future I know that if it does I will be reaching out to Rance. He has always made sure that the job is complete and that I as the home owner am happy with the job. I will always recommend him to anyone in the area that needs repairs.

Coy and his team did a phenomenal job on our house. There were a lot of repairs needed after our tenant moved out and we live in a different city. The house needed to be repainted, floors re-done, re-carpeting, doors replaced or repaired and many other repairs. Coy coordinated between me and my property manager seamlessly. He always seemed happy to help, friendly and polite. He responded to my texts very quickly and I never worried about the project because I could tell that he was on top of everything. Everything was completed quickly and perfectly - there wasn't a single thing that I had to ask them to re-do.

Due to a water leak, we needed to have the master bathroom torn out and replaced. United Restoration was an enormous help with this project. I initially reached out to Rance, who quickly responded and put us in the capable hands of Joe Burt. Joe oversaw every phase of the project from demolition through the finishing touches. Joe stayed proactive and involved with our insurance company from the start. His experience and efforts proved particularly useful in achieving a 180-degree flip of our claim, which was initially denied in its entirety, to full coverage in a relatively short time. Rance and Joe have a lifetime of experience in restoration and remodeling. They do this work day in and day out, and yet remain very empathetic toward the owners who likely find themselves abruptly forced into the unfamiliar process of putting their home or business back together after an unforeseen event. What easily could have been a very unpleasant process actually was stress-free for us, and it was Rance and Joe that made the difference. Over the course of the project, we had several employees of United Restoration in our home to complete the work, and with each one, it felt like meeting a new member of the United Restoration family. They all worked together seamlessly with one common goal: to complete the work correctly and to our satisfaction. Without exception, all of the tradesmen were highly skilled and experienced in their particular area of expertise. More importantly, though, you couldn’t ask for a higher caliber of people to come into your home. They were all very polite and respectful of us and our home throughout the entire job. Additionally, they were careful to cover the floors where they needed to walk and cleaned up thoroughly before they left for the day. It was this attention to detail that made all the difference. United Restoration gets the highest rating possible from us and will be the only call we make for this type of work in the future.
